    RaguDave is built on the principle that you control your data. We collect only what's needed to run the service and never sell your personal information to third parties.
  

1. Who We Are

RaguDave ("we", "us", "our") operates the website at ragudave.com. For privacy enquiries contact us at admin@notmyquote.com.

⚠️ We strongly advise against entering sensitive personal data such as passport numbers, government ID numbers, bank account details, or medical information. Such data is not required by the service and should not be stored here.

3. How We Use Your Data

To provide and improve the RaguDave service
To generate AI-powered outputs (résumés, summaries, preferences) when requested via your handle
To send transactional emails (password reset, account notices) — no marketing without consent
To detect abuse, enforce rate limits, and maintain security
To produce anonymised aggregate analytics about platform usage

4. AI Processing

When you use AI-powered features, your profile data is sent to third-party AI providers (currently Anthropic and/or OpenAI) to generate content. This data is transmitted securely and used only for that specific generation request. We do not permit these providers to use your data to train their models under their API terms.

You can disable AI features at any time by removing your API key from the dashboard settings.

5. How Your Handle Works

Your RaguDave handle is a public identifier. When someone (or an AI system) requests data via your handle URL, the fields you have marked as Public in your privacy settings are returned. Fields marked as Private are never exposed via the handle API.

You control exactly which fields are public. Review your privacy settings in the dashboard at any time.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI) — only when you trigger an AI feature, only the data needed for that request
Payment processors (e.g. Stripe) — if you subscribe, billing data is handled by the processor; we do not store card details
Infrastructure providers — our hosting provider has access to the server but not to application-level data
Law enforcement — only if required by a valid legal order

7. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days. Anonymised aggregate analytics may be retained indefinitely.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location you may have the right to:

Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
Correction — update inaccurate data (you can do this directly in the dashboard)
Deletion — request deletion of your account and all associated data
Portability — request your data in a machine-readable format
Objection — object to certain types of processing

9. Cookies and Tracking

RaguDave uses only essential session storage (not cookies) for authentication tokens. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party trackers, or analytics pixels. No consent banner is required because we set no non-essential cookies.

10. Security

Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. Data is transmitted over HTTPS. Access to the database is restricted to the application server. We recommend using a strong, unique password and not reusing it elsewhere.

11. Children

RaguDave is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

12. International Transfers

RaguDave is operated from Wyoming, United States. If you access the service from the EEA or UK, your data is transferred to and processed in the US. By using the service you acknowledge this transfer. We apply GDPR-equivalent data protection principles regardless of your location.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be notified by email or a notice on the site. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
